generational
foundations project
building
big dreams ...
kkd has
launched a new
building project on the crow reservation in montana. here's the scoop:
we are looking for
partners to help build a new foster home for the bartlett family. the
bartletts have lived on the crow indian reservation in montana for twenty
years and have fostered over 90 children. their current home is 100
years old and when it rains it leaks, it has no central heat, many of the
rooms have curtains instead of doors, and the floors in some rooms are
caving in.
this is no small task.
we will need an estimated $300,000 to complete the project. if you are
interested in learning more or helping us bless this very deserving family,
please contact us - 303.424.8083 or
project@kkdenver.org. we are
believing for big things! partner with us!

(as of january 2009)
the groundbreaking began in june 2007 and, as of today, the entire house is
framed out, walls are up, painting is done, electricity and plumbing is
installed, and flooring is in progress. we expect that the bartletts
will be able to move in within the next couple of months. many thanks to
those who have donated their time, talent, and tithe to making this dream
happen!

words from the family
' i would love to have a new house where foster kids
could come, where we would help and minister to them...i would love to see
people change and come to Jesus Christ - to be able to witness to whoever
comes.'
--christian
'both my parents are more than deserving of a new
house. they have taken in kids that nobody really cared about,
invested time and energy into them/us. they loved the unloved.'
--rae dawn
'i want to do this for my mom and God and do it in
love.'
--little donna
'i want God to move in a way that nobody has ever
experienced before, so that when people come here they won't think of this
place like it's worth nothing or think badly of the Native Americans.'
--bridger
'it is in my heart to show the love of God to the
children on the reservation - to tell them that someone cares and is going
to be there for them. i would love to stop the spiritual bondage on
the reservation like alcohol, drugs, abusive relationships, and abandonment,
like what my parents taught us to do.'
